Pure Wild Bull Glutamine promotes recovery from exercise
23-08-2010
Glutamine is a premier staple in many sports nutrition ranges. To athletes in general, but particularly bodybuilders and strength athletes, it is a core nutrient.
Glutamine promotes recovery from exercise. Due to the degree of muscular exertion in training bodybuilders and strength athletes have a heightened requirement for muscle repair/recovery. Muscle breakdown can be acute in people who train regularly.
Glutamine is anti–catabolic. Catabolism, by dictionary definition is negative or destructive metabolism – consistent with muscle breakdown. The antonym (opposite) to catabolic is “anabolic”– characterised by or promoting constructive metabolism.
Glutamine is the body’s most plentiful amino acid, said to constitute up to half the free amino acid content in muscle. Some assert that exercise can drain half the muscle content of glutamine.
Juxtaposing these statistics makes it starkly apparent that glutamine plays a central role in muscle repair and muscle building.
Glutamine is commonly regarded as a potent stimulator of human growth hormone levels. Glutamine boosts the immune system, protecting the body from infection and illness.
It is administered to patients to support post surgery recuperation and is also recommended for mood elevation and anti-depressive effect. While glutamine is present in many high protein foods, adequate intake for athletes is commonly regarded as best achieved through the addition of a glutamine supplement to your normal diet.
Early morning (upon rising) and just before bed are often recommended as effective times to take glutamine. The most common advice is to take glutamine immediately after exercise to boost recovery.
Wild Bull L-Glutamine is pure - undiluted by fillers. First time users may be surprised by its potency. As always, anyone with an existing medical condition should consult a doctor before use. Pregnant and lactating women should not use glutamine.
